Commercial Kitchen Equipment Swiped From Nassau Business: Police
Mohamed Assaedi was placed under arrest at the Posh Organic Market in Wantagh where the equipment was recovered, police said.
CARLE PLACE, NY — A man stole commercial kitchen equipment from a Carle Place business last summer, police said.
The unknown person unlawfully entered the location on Old Country Road between July 15 and Aug. 20 and stole items worth $100,000, police said.
A thorough investigation revealed that Mohamed Assaedi, 46, of Queens, was responsible for the incident, authorities said. He was placed under arrest inside Posh Organic Market and Deli on Merrick Road in Wantagh, where the commercial equipment was recovered, police said.

Assaedi is charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
He was expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
