Cops: 2 Armed Robberies Within 4 Hours in Uniondale

Both robberies were committed by two men and involved guns, cops said.

Two armed robberies were reported within a four-hour period in Uniondale late Wednesday and early Thursday, according to Nassau County Police.

Police have not specified whether the incidents, which took place less than two miles apart from each other, are related.

At 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a 28-year-old man was walking south on Bedford Avenue when he was approached between Front and Midwood Streets, cops said. One of the men revealed he had a gun and demanded cash, which the victim handed over along with his wallet, credit cards, and cellphone, police said. The pair fled north on foot toward Front Street, cops said.

A second armed robbery involving two men was reported at 2:15 a.m. Thursday on Park Avenue, officials said. Both men had guns and took a cellphone, credit cards, and cash from the 24-year-old male victim, cops said. The robbers fled south on Summer Avenue, police said.

Neither victim was injured during the robberies, officials said.
