County Seeking Nominees for Distinguished Mother Recognition

Know a Garden City mom who's made extraordinary contributions to the community?

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano is asking residents to nominate an individual in the community who exemplifies the qualities of outstanding parenthood, such as, kindness, caring, sacrifice and generosity to children.

Moms will be recognized at the second annual Mother’s Day Brunch, to be held in mid-May at Old Bethpage Village Restoration. Nominations should be submitted no later than April 1.

“It is my honor to host this year’s Mother’s Day Brunch Celebration which recognizes Nassau mothers for the work they do all year long making our county a better place to live, work and raise a family,” said Mangano.

The county is seeking individuals who go above and beyond their responsibilities as parents and citizens and have an impact on the well-being of children in the community.

Nominations, explaining why a resident should be considered for recognition, should be mailed to Mary Studdert, Administration Building, Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY 11554, or emailed to: mstuddert@nassaucountyny.gov.
