D'Esposito LI Office Receives Bomb Threat: Spokesperson

The congressman was moved to a secure location after the threatening phone call, spokesperson Matt Capp said.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Rep. Anthony D'Esposito's Garden City office received a bomb threat on Friday, a spokesperson for the congressman said.

The "threatening call" included a "threat to bomb the office," Matt Capp, a spokesperson for D'Esposito, said in a statement.

The call came into the office at approximately 1:30 p.m. and staff immediately followed protocol by notifying Garden City police and Nassau County police. Capitol Police were also alerted.

D'Esposito, in the district at the time, was taken to a secure location, Capp said.

The congressman's office "will continue to cooperate fully in the ongoing investigation," Capp said.
