Estates POA president William Slattery is please to announce the return of one of Long Island's leading garden and lawn experts, Oscar Basso, as the featured speaker at the Wednesday April 10 meeting, to be held in the cafeteria of Stratford School at 8 p.m.
Oscar Basso spoke at the October Estates POA to a very enthusiatic group of village residents. Oscar will go over what residents should be doing this spring to get their lawns ready for the season. He will also tackle the issue of the types of shrubs and trees that thrive the best on Long island. All Garden City residents are encouraged to attend and to ask any garden/lawn question that they might have.
Oscar is the co-owner of Milena Garden Center on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park. In addition to Oscar's talk, the regular estates POA meeting will also be conducted.
