Garden City Holding 9/11 Memorial

The ceremony will honor those from Garden City who were killed, as well as first responders who died.

GARDEN CITY, NY — The fire department will be holding a remembrance ceremony next week for the people from Garden City who died in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2011, as well as those who have perished since from 9/11-related illnesses.

The ceremony will be held on Sept. 11 at 8:30 a.m. at the village's 9/11 memorial, located at the Village Green and Gazebo at the corner of Hilton Avenue and Stuart Avenue.

The service will honor the 23 Garden City residents who died on 9/11, the hundreds of first responders who died, and people who have since died of 9/11-related illnesses.
