Garden City Maintains Its 'Tree City USA' Status
"You've invested in a healthier, more sustainable future for your residents," the Arbor Day Foundation said.

GARDEN CITY, NY — The Village of Garden City has once again earned "Tree City USA" recognition.
This is the 33rd year that Garden City received the distinction from the Arbor Day Foundation.
"I am proud of the work this village has done to maintain our 'Tree City' status," Mayor Mary Carter Flanagan said.

Planting season has started in the village. Any resident who would like a tree planted in front if their home should call the Recreation and Parks Office at 516 465-4075.
"By prioritizing tree stewardship, you've not only help enhance Garden City's beauty and flexibility, but you've also invested in a healthier, more sustainable future for your residents," said Arbor Day Foundation Chief Executive Dan Lambe.
