Garden City PD Donates More Than 3 Dozen Boxes To Toys For Tots

GARDEN CITY, NY — The Garden City community participated in a successful Toys for Tots drive this holiday season.

The Garden City Police Department announced that 37 boxes were donated to needy children.

"We are incredibly proud of our community for coming together to support such a worthy cause and were honored to play a part in ensuring that every child has a wonderful holiday," Police Commissioner Kenneth Jackson said.

The Toys for Tots Foundation was created by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1991.

"We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Garden City U.S. Marine Base for their unwavering dedication and continued efforts in supporting the Toys for Tots program," Jackson said.
