Garden City School Board Agenda: June 19
See what the Board of Education will be discussing at tonight's business meeting.
The Garden City Board of Education will hold its final business meeting of the 2011-2012 school year tonight at 8:15 p.m. inside Garden City High School.
The school board will actually covene in a closed door meeting to discuss a personnel matter at 7:30 p.m. Then, the public session will include a celebration of recent achievements and SEPTA's presentation of the Nancy Maher-Maxwell Award.
There will also be reports presented on the 2009 School Investment Bond and an Insurance Review Update. One new policy and revisions to four others will also be introduced for their first readings.

The board will also discuss and/or vote on several recommendations made by the superintendent including staff appointments, budget transfers, contracts, grants, bids and (believe or not) establishing a date for next year's budget hearings and vote. There is also an item regarding litigation pertaining to the new professional performance review system for faculty members listed on the agenda.
As always, the board has designated periods for members of the public to voice concerns or raise questions.
