Garden City Schools Seeking Parents For Advisory Comittee
The new committee will review instructional material the district uses for different grade levels.

GARDEN CITY, NY — The Garden City Public Schools are seeking four parents/guardians (one representing each level: primary, elementary, middle and high school) to serve on a committee to review instructional material.
The committee will review the district’s process and protocols for determining the appropriateness of instructional materials, and will also review instructional material that a parent/guardian, student or staff may have concerns with that have not been resolved at the teacher or the principal level.
In addition to the parents/guardians, the advisory committee will consist of one teacher from each level, one elementary and one secondary library media specialist, the director of literacy and two high school students.
