The annual Turkey Trot draws participants from all over Long Island, and from beyond. In 2019, nearly 7,000 people participated in the Fun Run and Five-Mile Race. Runner costumes are welcome, as well as baby walking and jogging strollers. Post-race food and beverages will be available on site.
This year’s Garden City Turkey Trot will once again benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and The INN. Runners are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Turkey Trot Food Drive. The event has raised well over $1 million over the years.
