Garden City World Language Students Strike Again
Two Garden City Middle School students win second place and Honorable Mention in LILT poster contest.

The Long Island Language Teachers’ Association (LILT) poster contest celebrates National Foreign Language Week, which takes place in March of each year.
Students in Garden City Middle School participated in the LILT poster contest.
This year the theme was: “Be Inspired, Learn Another Language.”
The students created beautiful posters related to this theme, and out of numerous schools in Long Island that participated, two students from Garden City Middle School won second place and Honorable Mention.
The winners are Rebecca Economos, from Mrs. Caruthers’ sixth grade Spanish class, and Kaylah Bozkurtian from Mrs. Linardos’ seventh grade Spanish class. The students received a trophy for their creative and artistic work.
¡Felicitaciones!
