A free seminar from the Nassau County Bar Association' in Mineola for parents.

What can be done to address the ongoing crisis of bullying in school or on social media? Students, parents, educators, social workers and youth leaders can find out more at the Nassau County Bar Association’s free public seminar, “Bullying: Prevention and Intervention”, to be held Monday, March 2, 6 p.m., at the Nassau County Bar Association, 15th Street on the corner of West Street, Mineola.
The impact of New York State’s Anti-Bullying Law and the Dignity For All Students Act (DASA) will be examined and how it affects the students, what schools are expected to do, and what parents can do, including legal remedies. The speakers include elementary school principal and professor of education Dr. Karen Siris and Anne Donnelly, Deputy Bureau Chief at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, along with attorneys Jacob Feldman of Frazer & Feldman, LLP, and Patricia Craig and Saundra Gumerove of the Office of Saundra M. Gumerove, Esq. PC.
