Kings Food Markets (Kings) will celebrate the rebranding of its Garden City location March 8 at its “Taste of Spring” event.
The
event will commence at 11 a.m. with an outdoor ceremony celebrating the
official debut of the rebranded Kings Garden City. As part of its “Act
Against Hunger Initiative,” Kings will mark the occasion by making a
donation to the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN).
“We are
thrilled to bring our company-wide rebranding efforts to our Garden City
location,” said Judy Spires, CEO of Kings Food Markets. “Our goal is
for customers to discover those moments in our stores where inspiration
strikes, whether it’s finally finding a rare ingredient, creating a
delicious menu using recipes from Kings’ chefs, or knowing they can rely
on pairing suggestions and preparation tips from our associates. We
look forward to continuing to share our love of food with our Garden
City customers.”
Following the ceremony, customers are invited
inside to enjoy the newly rebranded location through a host of special
activities, including a variety of tastings and samples throughout the
store.
Kathleen King, head baker and founder of the famous Tate’s
Bake Shop, will be in attendance from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. signing
copies of her popular Tate’s Bake Shop Cookbook, while sampling her
best-selling cookies. In addition, Shari Bilt Boockvar, MS, RD of
Nutrifacts Inc., will also be on hand to give “shopping cart makeovers”
and guided store tours, focusing on eating for energy, yummy meals for
the entire family and heart health.
As part of Kings’ commitment
to hunger relief, the Garden City store will host a food drive March
9–31 to benefit the INN, a local non-profit dedicated to the fight to
end hunger.
An upscale chain with 25 stores throughout New
Jersey, New York and Connecticut, Kings provides customers with a unique
shopping experience paired with the highest quality foods. From locally
sourced, organically grown produce, to hand-selected cheeses from over
20 countries Kings seeks to bring exceptional gourmet items to shoppers
in all of the company’s locations. The in-store experience is enhanced
by Kings’ associates, all of whom are passionate about food and eager to
help customers create the perfect meal.
Kings recently completed
a brand relaunch in an effort to meet the ever-changing needs and
demands of its customers, both current and prospective. The relaunch was
marked by the introduction of a newly redesigned website (www.kingsfoodmarkets.com)
as well as grand re-openings of its Bedminster and Livingston, N.J.
stores, and the opening of its first-ever Connecticut store in Old
Greenwich. Additional re-openings are slated to take place throughout
2013.
