Leading Long Island Garden/Lawn Expert Addresses Estates POA Meeting

At the April 10 meeting of the Estates POA at Stratford School, one of Long Island's leading garden/lawn experts, Oscar Basso, addressed an enthusiastic crowd of Garden City Estates residents concerning various areas of lawn and garden care for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. Basso went over an extensive list of areas that residents needed to be mindful of so as to produce the best results for their lawns and gardens. Some of these areas ranged from different types of fertilizers to use and which to avoid as well a which plants and grass seed thrive best on Long Island. Basso also allowed for an extended question and answer period from the audience concerning specific lawn/garden issues. A co-Owner of New Hyde Park-based Milena Garden Center, Basso is recognized as one Long Island's most sought after experts and is in frequent demand at various speaking engagements throughout the entire region. Estates POA president, William Slattery, said that the Estates POA was very fortunate to have a speaker of Mr. Basso's expertise and renown adddress its organization.
