Man Arrested After Mall Fight And Biting Police Officer: PD
A man was arrested by Nassau police after getting into a fight at a Long Island mall and biting an officer, police say.
GARDEN CITY, NY — A Rockville Centre man was arrested for assault after getting into a fight at Roosevelt Field Mall, Nassau police said.
On Dec. 27, around 6:30 p.m., police were called to Roosevelt Field Mall for a fight in the food court which caused people to leave the mall, police said.
After an investigation, officers arrested Christopher Santana, 22, of Milford Place, who was trying to reenter the mall carrying several bricks, police said.

Police said that when they tried to arrest Santana, he became violent and combative and began spitting and biting them, resulting in one officer being transported to a local hospital with an injury on his left hand.
Santana was arested and charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, and disorderly conduct, police said.

He was arraigned on Dec. 28 at First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
