Man In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Car: Nassau Police
Police say the man was hit by a driver with a suspended license.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car driven by an unlicensed driver in Hempstead on Sunday, Nassau County police said.
According to police, a 46-year-old man was crossing Fulton Avenue near Clinton Street at 1:12 a.m. when he was hit by a 2013 Mercedes Benz SUV being driven by a 34-year-old man.
The victim was taken to a hospital, and is in serious condition.

The driver, Alrich Braide, of Hempstead, remained at the scene.
Braide was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hemsptead on May 29.
