A master gardener from Cornell University Cooperative Extension will conduct a gardening program at the Garden City Library May 22 at 1:30 p.m.
The informational session will provide tips to help you show off your lawn; information on proper mowing, water and fertilization, disease, insect and weed control, thatch and core aeration are among the other topics to be discussed.
The leaching potential of fertilizers and pesticides into Long Island ground water will also be an important focus.
