Multiple Cars Burn In Roosevelt Field Mall Parking Lot

GARDEN CITY, NY — Multiple cars caught on fire in the parking lot of Roosevelt Field Mall Saturday night, but police say it does not appear to be suspicious.

According to police, multiple cars parked in front of Dick's Sporting Goods caught on fire around 7:30 p.m. All of the cars were unoccupied at the time, and no one was injured.

The East Garden City and Westbury fire departments responded to put out the blaze. Police Arson/Bomb Squad detectives and the Fire Marshal also responded. Police say the investigation is ongoing, but that the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
