GARDEN CITY, NY — A former masseur at a Garden City spa was indicted today on sex abuse charges for allegedly touching clients inappropriately during massages.

Sut-Ho Leung (also known as “Mike”), 60, of New Hyde Park, was arraigned on 14 counts of unauthorized practice of a profession, two counts of forcible touching and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse. He is due back in court on Nov. 12.

“A relaxing massage turned threatening and disturbing when this defendant allegedly used his massage table as a means to victimize clients,” said Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce Smith. “NCDA believes there could be other victims and encourage anyone who believes they may have been victimized by the defendant to call the Special Victims Bureau at (516) 571-1266.”

According to the Smith, Leung met a woman for a scheduled massage on Jan. 2, 2021 at O Spa, located at 927 Franklin Ave. in Garden City. During the massage, officials say Leung reached over the woman's shoulders and touched her breasts. The woman tried to cover herself, but Leung kept touching her, Smith said. He was practicing massage without a license, according to Smith.

Leung was arrested on Jan. 6 by the Garden City Police Department.

Two months later, in early March, Garden City police and the District Attorney's office started an undercover operation at O Spa. Smith says they captured Leung on video continuing to practice massage without a license. He was arrested again on March 9.

Smith said a joint investigation by the DA's office and the Garden City police found at least 10 other people who had received massages from Leung when he did not have a license. Smith said Leung inappropriately touched the breast of one of those people on Dec. 6, 2020.

Anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of Sut-Ho Leung should contact the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Bureau at (516) 571-1266.
