HEMPSTEAD, NY — Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times in Hempstead and died. Gunfire detection technology alerted Nassau County police officers of shots fired near Olsen Place around 12:20 a.m.
Police found a 23-year old man with multiple gunshot wounds. A Nassau County police medic declared him dead at the scene from his wounds. An investigation remains ongoing.
