NCC Board of Trustees Calls Another Special Meeting
Board is expected to meet with representatives of the SUNY chancellor regarding search for college's next president.

The Nassau Community College Board of Trustees has called another special meeting in order to meet with representatives of the chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY) to discuss and act on matters relating to the college's search for a new president.
Open public session begins Thursday, May 30, at 6 p.m. on the eleventh floor of NCC's administration tower.
This meeting comes two weeks after a special meeting May 16 in which the board discussed, among other things, the election of a chair to fill the unexpired term of Geoffrey Prime, former head of the college's governing board who recently resigned.
Dr. Kenneth A. Saunders assumed the position of acting president of the college in January after SUNY chancellor Dr. Nancy Zimpher recommended him for the job. Dr. Saunders formerly served as NCC’s officer in charge since July 30, 2012.
He will remain as acting president of NCC for one year, or until a permanent president is appointed, whichever occurs first.
The NCC board of trustees is seeking a "highly committed, innovative and collaborative leader," according to a press release on the college's website. What issues should be a top priority for the next president? What attributes and characteristics do you feel are essential in the next president? To share your views write the college at NCCPresident.search@ncc.edu.
If interested in the job, applications (including cover letter and resume), expressions of interest and requests for additional information may be directed to the Witt/Kieffer consultants:
