Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Nassau Crash
Police say the man was crossing a road when he was hit by a car. He is in critical but stable condition.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — A man was severely injured in a car crash in Hempstead Friday afternoon, Nassau County police said.
According to police, a man in his 30s was crossing South Franklin Street near Elm Street at 2:15 p.m. when he was hit by a 2019 Nissan being driven by a 36-year-old woman.
Police say the man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition.

The driver remained at the scene. Police say the investigation is ongoing, but no criminality is suspected.
