Police: Teen Punched, Robbed of Cell Phone

The 18-year-old victim suffered a contusion to her face but refused medical attention at the scene, according to police.

A teen was punched in the face and robbed of her cell phone while walking in the rear parking lot of 1 Education Drive in E. Garden City Thursday, according to Nassau County's Third Squad.

According to detectives, the victim was approached by an unknown African American male who took the phone from the victim's left shirt pocket. Police said the subject then fled on foot south through the parking lot.

The subject is described as being 25 years old, dark skin, stocky build, black jeans, black jacket, red sneakers, short hair and facial hair on his chin, police said.

The victim suffered a contusion to her face but refused medical attention at the scene, according to police reports.
