Remembering The Fallen: Honoring Garden City's 9/11 Victims
It's been 20 years since that fateful day when the world was changed forever. Today we pay special tribute to the fallen.

GARDEN CITY, NY — It's been 20 years since that crisp September morning in 2001 when the United States was changed forever.
Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. And the list of victims grows every years as responders to the scene die from illness that were caused by their time working there.
But as time marches on, the memories sometimes begin to fade. Children learn about that day in school having not lived it, but only heard about it. That's why now, more than ever, it's important to remember all of the people who died on that day.
