Shooting At LI Mall Puts Stores On Lockdown

Police say two men got into an argument with a couple and fired three shots at them. No one was injured.

GARDEN CITY, NY — The Roosevelt Field Mall was sent into lockdown Wednesday night after gunfire erupted outside one of the stores, Nassau County police said.

According to police, a man and woman leaving Nordstrom got into an argument with two men entering the store. One of the men then pulled out a gun and fired three shots toward the couple, but did not hit them.

Police say the men were both of average build, wearing all-black clothes and face masks. Police say they fled the scene in separate black four-door sedans.

Nordstrom and other stores at the mall were put on lock down as a precaution. No one was injured.

Anyone with information about the men is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
