Teens Robbed Group At Gunpoint, Stole Car, And Crashed It: NCPD
Police say the teens robbed five other teens at the Roosevelt Field Mall and took off in their car.
EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — Two teen boys were arrested Friday night after police say they stole a car from another group of teens and later crashed it.
According to police, at 8:10 p.m., the two teens — ages 16 and 17 — walked up to five other teens who were getting out of a car in the parking lot of the Roosevelt Field Mall. One of the teens pulled out a gun and pointed it at the other five, and demanded all of their possessions. The victims gave over their things, and then the two got into the victim's BMW 330i and drove it away.
While driving south on the Meadowbrook State Parkway, police say the teens crashed into a Hyundai sedan. Police responded, and both teens were arrested. The driver of the Hyundai, a 50-year-old man, was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The the two robbers are charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree criminal use of a firearm and fourth-degree conspiracy. The 17-year-old was also charged with second-degree reckless endangerment.
During the investigation, police say they discovered that one of the first five victims, a 17-year-old boy, helped orchestrate the robbery with the other two. He was also arrested. He was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree criminal use of a firearm and fourth-degree conspiracy.

Police did not release the names of any of those arrested. All three were arraigned on Nov. 6 in First District Court in Hempstead.
