Nassau Home Badly Damaged By Fire: Police

The police said there were no injuries from the Friday afternoon blaze.

UNIONDALE, NY —A fire on Friday afternoon caused extensive damage to a Uniondale home, police said.

Just before 12:30 p.m., officers observed the second level of the residence on Uniondale Avenue engulfed in flames.

The Uniondale Fire Department responded and extinguished the flames, police said.

No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was helping displaced residents, police said.

An investigation is ongoing as the Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad were on the scene.
