Woman Dies After Motorcycle Collides With Van In Nassau: Police

She was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital where she later died, Nassau police said.

GARDEN CITY, NY — A motorcyclist died Friday — in the second of two fatal crashes in a day in Nassau — after her bike collided with a van on Franklin Avenue in Garden City, police said.

The 32-year-old woman, whose identity was not released, was on a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle when it collided with a 2019 Ford Van driven by a 69-year-old man at around 5 p.m., according to police. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead by a hospital physician, police said.

The man remained at the scene and was not injured, according to police.

His two passengers, a 57-year-old woman and an 87-year-old woman, were both taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, police said.

A Brentwood woman died after her Infinity struck a CRV in Plainview earlier in the day.
