Landlord Selling Off Gowanus Site Co-Owned With Kushner: Report
SL Green made a deal to sell of a Third Street lot it co-own with Kushner Cos. for $120 million, Crain's reported.

GOWANUS, NY — One of the city's largest landlord will sell off a large development site in Gowanus it co-owns with the company owned by White House adviser Jared Kushner's family, Crain's reported.
SL Green reached a deal to sell the 175-225 Third St. lot it co-owns with Kushner Cos. for nearly $120 million to RFR Realty, according to Crain's. The deal will end the only partnership between the two companies.
The Third Street site sits across the street from Whole Foods and is currently used as a parking lot. SL Green and Kushner bought the property in 2014 for nearly $80 million, the Real Deal reported.

The news of the sale comes as other companies have been buying up properties around the neighborhood for millions of dollars in the wake of a proposed rezoning.
Domain Companies recently bought a warehouse on Sackett Street for $26.5 million and an industrial building on Carroll Street for $47.5 million.

Two Trees, known for their large towers in DUMBO and Fort Greene, also bought two pieces of land in the neighborhood for more than $100 million last month.
