New Co-Working Space 'The Yard' Coming to Gowanus
A former industrial building in Gowanus will be converted into a co-working office space, complete with rooftop access and a cafe.

GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — Goodbye manufacturing, hello ergonomic chairs.
A former three-story industrial building located at 157 13th St. between 3rd and 4th avenues will be converted into the newest location for "The Yard," one of a growing number of swanky co-working chains, according to the Commercial Observer.

The Yard has reportedly signed a lease for the entire 24,800-square-foot building, and will go to town with renovations.

The final plans reportedly include key card access, curated art installations, a roof deck and a 19,000-square-foot cafe. The office space is expected to open in November.
The Yard also has locations in Herald Square, Lincoln Square, the Lower East Side, Williamsburg and two locations in Flatiron.
