Crime Log: Alleged Burglar Found with Prescription Drugs & Marijuana

A look at recent arrests in the Hauppauge area.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • Angel Figueroa, 64, of North Babylon was arrested in Hauppauge on April 19 on a charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony. According to police, Figueroa failed to pay business taxes to the state between June 2005 and May 2011.   
  • Steven Saladino, 23, of Saint James, was arrested April 19 in Hauppauge on a charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony. According to police, Saladino stole jewelry from a home on Warren Court. Police said that when he was arrested, he had prescription drugs that were not prescribed to him and marijuana. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth and seventh degree, both misdemeanors.    
  • Ivert Marin, 46, from Central Islip was arrested in Hauppauge April 18 on a charge of grand larceny in the third degree, a felony. Police said Marin tampered with a LIPA meter to steal electricity.
