Hauppauge HS Student Selected For Roger Rees Awards

The awards recognize distinction in student performance and outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre programs.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — Jordan Reilly, a senior at Hauppauge High School, was selected to perform with the Roger Rees Awards, the school district announced.

The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance recognizes distinction in student performance and outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre programs in the NYC area. Students are adjudicated and nominated for the award.

Chosen out of hundreds of students, Reilly is one of 25 girls and 25 boys who were selected to spend the weekend of May 17 in New York City, taking workshops, rehearsing and performing a showcase. The winning performer of the showcase will be selected to perform and compete in the Jimmy Awards, a musical theater national competition.

Fellow student Jacob Solomon was also adjudicated and nominated to audition for this prestigious award.
