HAUPPAUGE, NY — Hauppauge High School students and their families recently hosted students from the Gymnasium Neu Wulmstorf in Germany as part of the schools’ annual German Student Exchange Program, the school district announced.
Hauppauge students visited Germany for the program this past September.
As part of their two-week visit, the German high schoolers visited the district’s elementary schools. Some classes were strictly question and answer sessions while others played the game "would you rather." Students were asked to compare and contrast German life to American culture, discussing topics such as school, family, extracurriculars, holidays and food.
