Friends of the Arts presents Contemporary Art Glass Expert
On Monday, at 7 p.m. the Friends of the Arts will present contemporary art glass expert Harlan Fischer, who will speak about art glass and art collecting. Here is the opportunity to join the H.Y.O. Women’s Softball League. Even If you've never played before or it’s been a while, come join the fun. All participants must be 30 and over and reside in the Hauppauge School District. Open registration at the high school will take place on April 15 and 16 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Registration is $80. Call (631) 897-9533 for more information.
Exercise For Seniors

An exercise class for seniors will be held at the Hauppauge Public Library Tuesday at 10 a.m. This is a proactive adult class, but it can be modified for your needs. Please bring water, weights, and a mat. A health waiver must be signed prior to your first class. To register, call 631-979-1600.
Team Dawg comes to Barnes & Noble Smithaven Mall
Barnes & Noble Presents: Educator Reception Thursday April 18 at 7 p.m. Join a special presentation and book signing by Robert Fortier aka "Bobby Dawg" and Ed Clampitt "Coach." Team Dawg visits Long Island elementary schools and presents a workshop on the importance of family, teamwork,respect, what an everyday hero is and how to be one throughout your life. Newsday, Volvo, Long Island Radio Group named Bobby Dawg & Coach Ed, "Everyday Heroes."
Scholar Yong Zhao Visits Hauppauge Schools
 Yong Zhao, an internationally known scholar, author and speaker, whose work focuses on globalization, technology and education, will be visiting the Hauppauge Schools on April 15. The community is welcome to join Zhao at 6:30 p.m. for a presentation entitled "Educate Innovators, Not Test Takers."
