What's Open on Christmas Day in Hauppauge

Only a handful of stores and other service-oriented businesses are open on Christmas, and with limited hours.  Here's a list of businesses that will be open on Dec. 25.

* Grab bagels for the family on Christmas morning at the Nesconset Bagel Café on Smithtown Boulevard.

* If you want a casual brunch locally both Hauppauge Palace Diner and Hauppauge Paradise Diner will be serving their regular menu plus specials on Christmas. 

* Hauppauge’s IHop on Motor Parkway will also be open early on Christmas morning to serve up fluffy pancakes, omelets and more after the family opens presents.

* Going to the movies on Christmas after opening presents is an annual tradition for some families. Hop in the car and head out to AMC Loews or Island16 in Holtsville.

* It might be true that 7-Eleven doesn't need locks on its doors as it will be open 24/7 on Christmas Day.
