2 Accused In Hicksville Attack With Car, Machete, Fists: Nassau Police

The victim is 43, police said; the alleged attackers were 21 and 23.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Two undomiciled men are accused in an attack Saturday on Oyster Bay Road that involved a car, a machete and fists, according to Nassau County police.

Officers were called to the Days Inn at 10:55 a.m. Friday in Hicksville. They learned that a 43-year-old had been in an argument with two other men that turned violent, police said.

Police said that Jelony Conze, 21, used his 2005 Nissan Altima to strike the victim, then got out of the car with a machete and slashed the victim’s hands several times, causing severe lacerations.

Adoni Omhari Conze, 23, a passenger in the Nissan, got out and punched the victim in the face, several times, police said.

Then they fled.

The Conzes were located nearby and placed under arrest without incident, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.

Jelony Conze is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, third degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

They were scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
