4 Clerks Sold Alcohol To Minors In Hicksville: Police

The "Project 21" initiative was conducted on Friday.

Four clerks at separate Hicksville businesses were arrested on Friday for selling alcoholic beverages to a minor, police say.

A "Project 21" initiative, which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors within the confines of Nassau County, led to four individuals being charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage. They are:

  • Malkit Singh, 60, of South Richmond, an employee at BP Gas Station, located at 300 N. Broadway. Singh was also charged with Improper Posting of a License.
  • Leon Bassen, 33, of Merrick, an employee at Headliner Bar, located at 370 W. Old Country Road.
  • Tabrej Masurkar, 28, of Hicksville, an employee at The American Mini Mart, located at 99 Railroad Station Plaza.
  • Jimenez Melvin Euceda, 36, of Levittown, an employee at El Salvador Deli-87 Broadway.

All four individuals were issued Nassau County Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead on May 24, 2018.
