HICKSVILLE, NY — Hicksville firefighters received personal protective equipment Tuesday thanks to 7-Eleven.

The corporate offices of convenient store chain thanked first responders at the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department on Tuesday by donating energy drinks, snacks, energy bars and gloves, as well as coupons for Slurpees and Big Gulps.

The department, who along with all other first responders, is on the front lines of the fight against the new coronavirus, which has led to thousands of deaths in New York.
