Best Long Island Elementary Schools In 2018: Niche

Thirty-six Long Island schools made the list of the top 100 elementary schools in New York in 2018 by Niche.com, and almost all of the top 10 schools in the state are from Nassau County.

Eight schools in New York’s top 10 are all from Nassau County. Out of the 36 schools, 32 are from Nassau while 4 are from Suffolk. (see rankings below.)

Robert Seaman Elementary School in the Jericho Union Free School District (UFSD) was ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 1 in New York. In fact, the top 3 elementary schools in New York all belong in the same school district. The top Suffolk County school on the list was Amagansett School in the Amagansett UFSD at No. 47.

The nation’s top elementary school was found to be Pine View School in Sarasota, FL.

Fewer Long Island schools made the state rankings in 2018. Fifty elementary schools from Long Island made the rankings in 2017.
