Couple Possessed Various Drugs With Kids In Car: Police
They were pulled over for using a yellow flashlight as a headlight on Tuesday night, police say.

A man and woman from East Meadow had multiple different types of drugs in their possession while they drove with their children not properly restrained in the car in Westbury on Tuesday night, police say.
According to authorities, 45-year-old Francis Dima was pulled over after driving eastbound on Corporate Drive with three passengers, 38-year-old Andrea Dima and two children, in a 2017 Dodge Ram after police observed extensive front-end vehicle damage and a yellow flashlight being used as a headlight at 11:45 p.m.
Police say they observed a broken glass tube with a white residue believed to be crack cocaine and a folding knife in the center console while the children, ages 5 and 6, were seated in the back of the car without proper child restraints.

Francis and Andrea Dima were placed under arrest and authorities say they subsequently discovered they were in possession of 89 green round pills imprinted "U23" believed to be hydrochloride, crack cocaine, heroin and multiple hypodermic needles.
Their two children were released to a family member.

Francis Dima was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and several vehicle traffic law violations.
Andrea Dima is being charged with six counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
They will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
