Hicksville Firefighters Extinguish House Fire: Photos
A fire broke out in the wall of a Division Avenue home in Hicksville over the weekend.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Firefighters extinguished a fire in the wall of a Hicksville home over the weekend, preventing it from extending further.
Around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department arrived at a two-story home on Division Avenue for a report of smoke. Firefighters found smoke and a fire on the outside of the home, officials said.
Crews found the blaze was coming from inside the wall and opened it up, extinguishing the blaze before it could spread further.
