Nassau Gas Station Station Robbed; Police Search For 3 Suspects

HICKSVILLE, NY — Police are searching for three men involved in a robbery Friday night at a gas station in Hicksville.

It happpend around 10:45 p.m. Friday at the BP gas station at 300 North Broadway, Nassau County police said Monday night.

A man got out of a black, late model Nissan Altima, entered the gas station and bought a lighter, police said. A second man then walked into the market from 16th Street and got a drink from the cold refrigerator section, police said. As he walked toward the clerk, the first man left the market.

The second man then asked the clerk for items on a wall behind the register, police said. As the clerk's back was turned, the second man reached over the counter, grabbed the register and ran, police said.

The second man left the store and ran toward 16th Street, and both men sped out of the station on North Broadway toward 16th Street to pick up a third man, who stayed with the sedan that was parked at the gas pumps.

The trio made off with an unknown amount of money, police said. No one was hurt.

Police said they're searching for all three men and gave the following descriptions:

Suspect One

• Hispanic man
• Skin tone: Light complexion
• Hair: Black hair with braids, unshaven beard
• Build/Weight: Heavy build, about 230 pounds
• Height: About 5 feet, 9 inches
• Age: Late 30s
• Unique identifiers: Tattoos on both arms
• Clothes: Wore a black, short sleeve t-shirt, blue denim shorts, black and white sneakers with a white shirt draped over his left shoulder.

Suspect Two

• Black man
• Skin tone: Dark complexion
• Height: About 5 feet 11 inches
• Weight: 210 pounds
• Clothes: Wore a light-gray hooded sweatshirt, darker-gray sweatpants, a light green, baseball cap, a dark bandana-style face mask, green and black gloves and red sneakers. The sweatshirt hood was worn over his head and hat.

Suspect Three

• White man
• Age: Late 30s
• Build: Thin build, about 170 pounds
• Height: About 5 feet, 10 inches
• Hair: Brown with a brown beard
• Clothes: Wore a white, long-sleeve shirt, black athletic pants with a red stripe down the legs, red Champion slide sandals, a black baseball style hat with a teal brim on backwards.
