Nassau Home Hit By Car 2 Days After Similar Wreck

HICKSVILLE, NY — For the second time in three days, a car crashed into a home in Hicksville, officials said.

Around 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department received a report that a car had smashed into a home on Newbridge Road home and caught fire. Firefighters arrived and found a luxury car slammed into a front porch. It did not catch fire, officials said.

The driver was taken to Nassau University Medical Center with serious injuries by Nassau County police ambulance. No one in the home was hurt, officials said.

The building department was called to inspect the home.

On Saturday night, the driver of a Mustang lost control and crashed into a house on Woodbury Road and Pollock Place, officials said. In that crash, the vehicle overturned and the home was empty at the time of the wreck.
