Hicksville School Budget, Ballot Measures Approved

HICKSVILLE, NY — Voters in the Hicksville School District took to the polls today and approved the district's proposed 2022-23 budget.
The budget passed 808 to 389.
Residents also voted on two propositions. The first would create a capital reserve fund to pay for future improvements to the district. It was approved 802 to 370. The second proposition will fund educational services at Hicksville's Gregory Museum. It also passed, 827 to 336.

In addition to the budget, residents also cast votes for Board of Education trustees. Incumbent Linda Imbriale kept her seat, defeating challenger Joseph Matz 720 to 320. Annette Beiner beat Denis Becker 750 to 300 for the seat of Carla Hoene. Danielle Fotopoulos earned 500 votes to earn the seat of Chris Amato, defeating Sandra Lamb and Lisa Reinhardt, who had 168 and 383 votes, respectively.
