Luxury SUV Bursts Into Flames At Long Island Gas Station: PHOTOS
Officials say hazardous materials teams were sent to a BP gas station when a luxury SUV caught fire.

HICKSVILLE, NY — One firefighter was hurt Sunday morning when a luxury SUV burst into flames at a Hicksville gas station.
The Hicksville and Plainview Volunteer Fire Departments were sent to a BP gas station at Woodbury and South Oyster Bay roads around 10:45 a.m. Sunday for a report of a car on fire.
Firefighters found a car ablaze at the gas station, and the Range Rover's gas tank let go, fueling the flames as crews battled the blaze. Firefighters had to use foam to knock down the flames.

One firefighters was hurt and refused medical attention at the station.
The southbound lanes of South Oyster Bay Road were closed while crews worked, as were the westbound lanes of Woodbury Road.

Foam and gasoline poured into a nearby storm drain and environmental conservation workers were called to inspect the drains, which must be pumped. A hazardous material team from the Hicksville Fire Department and Nassau County Fire Marshal's office was also sent to the scene.
