News 12's Carol Silva Diagnosed With Stage 4 Cancer
The longtime news anchor made the emotional announcement on her Facebook page Friday afternoon.
Legendary News 12 Long Island anchor Carol Silva announced she has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in a Facebook video posted Friday afternoon.
"Right in the middle of a perfectly good September, I finally saw my doctor about my persistent cough," Silva wrote. "And then this happened. Stage 4 Cancer. Please take a minute to watch my message to all of you. Thank you for your continued love and support- I feel all of it."
Silva, 65, announced in June she would be retiring in December from News 12, where she has spent more than three decades on the anchor desk.
