Officer Injured During Arrest Of LI Woman For Dine And Dash: Police
Ruoqiong Shi left Potasia in Hicksville without paying for her meal on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
HICKSVILLE, NY — A Plainview woman was arrested for an assault at a restaurant in Hicksville on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded to Potasia, located at 600 South Oyster Bay Rd., for a disturbance, police said.
Ruoqiong Shi, 29, ordered and ate her meal, but left without paying, police said.

She was located a short time later. While attempting to place her into custody, Shi got violent and combative, injuring an officer's arm and leg in the process, authorities said.
She was placed under arrest and taken to an area hospital. The officer was also brought to nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Shi is charged with second-degree assault, theft of services and resisting arrest, police said. She was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
