Two Men Attack Lone Man In Westbury, Break His Leg: Police

WESTBURY, NY — The Nassau County Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying two men who they say attacked a lone man in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police say around 4:15 a.m., a man was walking on Rutland Street when two men, only described as black males, came up from behind him. They hit him with a blunt object in the lower right leg and ran away, police say.

The man suffered a compound fracture of his lower right leg and was taken to an area hospital.

Police are investigating and ask anybody with information to contact Nassau County Crime stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
