Man Arrested For Sexual Assault Of 78-Year-Old Woman In Rosedale
Police have arrested a man for sexually assaulting a 78-year-old woman while she was asleep in a Rosedale home.
ROSEDALE, QUEENS — Police have arrested a man for sexually assaulting a 78-year-old woman in Rosedale on Sunday.
Ryan Bayard, 30, stands accused of rape for attacking the woman while she was asleep inside a home by Brookville Boulevard and 148th Street about 6:30 a.m., according to police. He fled after the attack.
The NYPD earlier on Monday had released an image of Bayard in an attempt to track him down, after the victim helped police identify him as the suspect.

The woman and the man are both homeless, CBS New York reported. The house where the woman was sleeping is boarded up and frequented by squatters, neighbors told the news station.
